Some auditions involve performing a script that the actor is not familiar with. In a music Audition, a musician may be asked to read music at various levels of difficulty. In a musical theatre audition, the performer may be asked to sing something in the genre which is related to the musical theater show. In a dance audition, a dancer might be asked to learn a new choreography, rather than showcasing prepared work.
